Not many know / understand the name of the Tribute Band Mr. Scary - A Tribute to the legendary Dokken....hmm....serious fans of Dokken, and Lynch Mob, of course you do- but many others at the clubs we frequent, have asked: What does MrScary mean? Are you one of those heavy metal bands? - I guess the name sounds dark, scary, metal, etc, to some that dont typically listen to metal. Mr Scary is an instrumental masterpiece of guitar work from the 1987 album by Dokken- Back for the Attack, written by George Lynch originally as a song to have lyrics/vocals, but ended up being turned into a guitar solo instrumental. Of all the names we had tossed around when forming the band, MrScary just seemed to fit better than others. Its an ode to George Lynch, yet also almost immediately calls to mind great memories of the late 80s and a time when melodic metal was fun, energetic, and exciting. So help us spread the word- tell all your friends that remember Dokken/Lynch Mob, and want to experience a kickass night of rock- Mr Scary- A Tribute to the Legendary DOKKEN!
