Not many of you know the back story of our little one Zoey aside from reading a few of our main posts here. She is a true trooper when it comes to life and pain. We just got her wheel chairs in the other day. To be honest i was a little beat up about the idea. Not just for Zoey but a 5yr old in general being in a wheel chair. Some of the greatest gifts in life is joy, independence, confidence, and innocence. (as we grow we tend to lose most of these) 5 minutes into learning how to use her new set of wheels she took off! Boy do i gotta say she is loving her new found independence! And with that comes back the joy and confidence that we all let fall a little short at times. I have a friend that lost a leg and he would always say I ran through life not enjoying the beauty of things...God decided to slow me down Before Zoeys speed bump arrived I always laughed at that statement. Now...I see the beauty in EVERYTHING! Though our lives are insanely chaotic with appts, care, the good and bad days...there is always a positive, and there is always beauty...no matter how dark life can be. No matter how far in the hole you are. And no matter the situation. Just have to slow down in those times (somehow) and simply LOOK. Sometimes you have to get knocked down lower than you have ever been...to be able to stand taller than you ever could. Keep standing tall to all of you out there! Truly yours...
