Not meaning to be poignant when I say this, but it will always just tear a small piece of my heart out knowing that so many people who look just like myself and Carl Cox (and Donald Glaude) will never embrace a music that they just cant get into. Dont you understand this this IS our music?!? Rock n Roll part 2 man... it kills me inside. Not saying that its ONLY our music but you get what I mean. Almost 3 decades...so many other legends too that look JUST LIKE YOU AND I. Ill never understand. My people are a troubled and lost bunch, and I dont mean to sound so intense with how I write that, but it just disappoints me so much every time. Excellent insight from the OG Carl Cox though. Read this.
