Not much has changed since we have been home. But our house is - TopicsExpress

Not much has changed since we have been home. But our house is looking much better and feels more like a home than a dumping ground! Yesterday Charlee had an appointment with our doctor here. He said she looks great! We are hoping her cold will wrap up soon so I dont have to take them to Memphis separately next week 😧. Also, so the kids can be together again. Although, Brady sure is liking his time being an only kid! Brady had his blood pressure checked again and it was still really high. He is already on 2 blood pressure meds. So this time our doctor called St. Jude and they want him to take a diuretic. This will help him pee out all the excess fluid that may be causing high blood pressure. He was on this before and it seemed to help. So we will see how it goes this time. I am so thankful to be home. Since I have been here I have often thought back to the last time I was in Florida. The few weeks before we went to Memphis were full of fear and sadness. We left not knowing anything, much less when we would be back. I just cant even believe all that my family/my kids, have overcome since May! I never expected God to turn such tragedy into gold on so many levels! He said he would and He sure did!! He taught us how to trust him blindly and to worry about NOTHING. He used this experience to renew us and make us into the people He created us to be. He used an unthinkable amount of people including many we have never met, to share their love and support during the times we needed it most. There are absolutely NO words for the selflessness of the people who give to support the families at St. Jude. Because of them our kids get to receive their expert services for free. (Seriously, no words because I tried really hard to think of some). Without them we would be 2, possibly 3 transplants deep in debt! Now that I am home I think body is telling me to slow down and rest. I have been so tired and mentally exhausted! There really is no place like home to crash and recuperate so that I can hit it hard next week as we travel to Memphis again.
