Not much is as controversial as the concept of what really makes someone intelligent. Is it book smarts, high iq, creativity, or common sense??? Todays Book-of-the-Day, Successful Intelligence, says that instead of a traditional IQ test you should adopt a new form of intelligence measurement. The author says intelligent people do three things well: 1. Find mentors. 2. Figure out their strengths and build around them 3. Dont get worried about how well or poorly they did on traditional tests in school. I believe that high IQ is important but its not the end-all and be-all as its often made out to be. Be wise, diligent, and faithful with the natural ability youve been given and youll go far in life. Its like the old school advice from the great basketball coach John Wooden, Success is piece of mind which is a direct result of self-satisfaction in knowing that you did your best to become the best you are capable of becoming.
