Not much response so far on the Christmas Tree Recycling. If you are an Albemarle county resident and you are interested in having your tree picked up to be recycled please let me know. Another option for your tree... Use it as a bird feeder. Plant it in your yard (just bury the trunk enough so it wont fall over) and hang some homemade bird feeders on it. The birds will love perching on the branches to feed. Have the kids or grand kids make feeders by covering pinecones in peanut butter and bird seed and then hang them from the tree. You will still need to do something with the tree once it goes totally brown later in the winter but it will give you a neat landscape feature for a short while.
