Not much special happened today, so here I sit. Its pretty bad when all I can come up with is writing about writing. Some days when things happen good or bad I know right then, its what I will be writing about that night. Other days I sit down to write, I look at the keyboard, and just wait to be inspired. Some nights I wait, and wait. Usually while I am waiting to be inspired I doze, I answer a few Jeopardy questions, and check my email. Usually once I decide what to write about, it doesnt take long at all. The words come easy, but the spelling, correct punctuation, grammar etc.not so much. On the table next to me is my cell phone that I use to pull up a dictionary, and Im always bugging Rick to check my punctuation. I have forgotten all those rules I learned in my english classes years ago. I am sure most nights its pretty obvious, I just kinda write how the words would come out of my mouth. My day is never done until I hit the post button. My very first post was on January 17th of 2013, and I have not missed a day since. Even if I dont really have much to say, I always have to say something. I actually published my posts in a book to give as a Christmas gift to family members and friends last year. The farm is a family farm, and I wanted to share my journal of daily life on the farm with them. Life on the farm can be boring and routine. Usually thats a good day. Excitement can mean a sick horse, a broken fence, or a leaking water pipe, but not always.............Excitement can also mean being certified as a Horse Discovery Center, finding the perfect pony, or seeing our lesson program grow.
