Not much to report on today ! We usually, speak very highly about KOA Kampgrounds, but we ran into a real lemon, these past two days ! First, the wifi was terrible. The signal kept dropping us, and then we have to start over. Next, the people in the office were like deer in the headlights, they were moving, but appeared to be going nowhere. Two of the three showers in the mens room were not working, so there was a back log, trying to get a shower. As we were leaving, we stopped at their dump station to empty our tanks. The vegetation around it looked like it hadnt been attended to in months. When I turned on the water to rinse off the hose and equipment, it looked like a fountain, with water squirting everywhere. Apparently, that problem has not been addressed either. Finally, we are ready to depart, and Jan notices a big pile of trash, on the grass along the entry way. This is not a weekend, and it is hard to believe they could have gotten that far behind in their maintenance, but it was a huge disappointment. Sorry for the rant, the pissed me off ! We will communicate our displeasure with the head office, when we fill out our report, on our stay. So, we get out of Dodge, so to speak, and back on the road, heading toward home. We took a beautiful ride through the Kentucky mountains, on a rural route, that was very picturesque. Unfortunately, we were so busy enjoying the ride, we didnt take many photos. We did a short lunch break in Georgetown, stopping at a Ruby Tuesday, for the salad bar ! After lunch, its back on the road for a half hour, till we reach, Whispering Hills R/V Park. We are now comfortably relaxing, and doing our update.
