Not okay! I guess he didnt shoot her when she was reaching for her purse, you have to give him that... I like what my friend Krysta Walker had to say about it: I take this really seriously, because our interactions with law enforcement should have nothing to do with whether or not we share an officers religion. Of course she complained. The fact he didnt give her a ticket is a moot point. He needs to be professional, and keep his personal opinions and beliefs out of his work. And for those that want religion in schools, there are a LOT of private institutions for that. (Or ya know, maybe you want to homeschool.) Taxes are paid by people of ALL religious stances. Thats why its important for governments to be secular. The idea that some folks encourage police to proselytize, or question people about their religious affiliation is literally frightening. We want to fight Shariah while calling for a theocracy? We must realize and honor the difference between encouraging judeo-Christian ethics and forcing one religion on an entire nation. Atheists and those of other religions (Buddhists, Wiccans, etc.) should not be marginalized. If you want freedom of religion, you must respect ALL religious affiliations. Please go reread the constitution. (Government will not establish a religion or prohibit the free exercise thereof. Most state constitutions follow this one these days, because ya know- - its a damn good idea!) People who encourage this behavior are the exact reason why we have militant atheists. It is crucial our government remain secular, and government employees including cops and teachers act appropriately while on the clock....
