Not one positive comment about Enquirer and its editor as people - TopicsExpress

Not one positive comment about Enquirer and its editor as people continue to trash: This is like watching a pet limp around, knowing its dying and needs to be put down, yet not having the heart to let go. The Enquirer is a sickly shadow of its former self. -- Kevin Moorehous Absolutely agree with the previous posters - you are firing a lot of people and those who will stay or be hired will be freelancers. Lets publish a paper as cheaply as possible. -- Rosalyn Benson In other words, you are firing a lot of people, reducing others to freelancers (We will change the role of reporters and photojournalists to truly be entrepreneurs.) and. . . um, making everyone reapply for their jobs, or . . . what. . . who the heck could figure out exactly what is going on from this near-illiterate, poorly edited piece of writing? Why not publish the truth instead of obfuscating (look it up)? -- Maureen Basedow Carolyn Washburn writes: No restructuring of this magnitude comes without some pain internally. We are reducing the number of people who handle production of our products. And we are significantly redefining every job. Now, if an Enquirer reporter turned in a story with that kind of vague language, a good editor would send them back for more details. -- Jim Hopkins Out of curiosity, does Carolyn Washburn have to reapply for her job? Does she become a freelancer with no benefits? -- Nancy Cutler. What youve written doesnt make much sense to me. Local coverage is practically nonexistent. Does this mean more recycled news from Columbus, Louisville and wherever else you can pull it? -- Claudia Harrod Entrepreneurs? Right. Another perfect example of how ignorant you think your readers are. Just keep patting yourself on the back for a job well done and youll be all pumped up for when your karma comes. -- Lynda Claire Zammit cincinnati/story/news/2014/10/06/cincinnaticom-changes-carolyn-washburn/16818027/
