Not one word! The Harper Government has said not one word of condemnation on the death toll in Gaza. They support Israel in any and all decisions. If Israel were to stop targeting Hamas and just, as at least one of the Israeli MPs have suggested, kill all the Palestinians. Our Government would still cheer them on. This is not a balanced view, this is not a government of diplomacy, its a government that sees all issues as black and white, and is completely blind to any wrong doing of its friends. Kill Hamas fighters? defending yourself. Kill the family of Hamas fighters? defending yourself Fire on schools and hospitals? defending yourself Fire on UN schools and refugee stations? defending yourself. Fire on a crowded open markets? defending yourself When Does OUR government start respecting the United Nations it belongs to, and the right of people everywhere, not just Israel to not live in constant fear. Remember all through this conflict over 4000 locations have been targeted and bombed in a under siege, walled land the size of London Ontario packed sardine can tight with 2 million people, that no one is allowed to leave. Sending flyers and telling people to get out of the way is feelgood propaganda for the media that is impossible for the citizens to do. Our Government if it had even a shred of common decency, would be appalled at the civilian suffering and at least suggest to its good buddy the Israeli government, that maybe, maybe blowing up the UN refugee camps is not completely acceptable and supported by the Canadian Government. Instead, our UN hating Harper Government, just cheers them on.
