Not only are our oceans acidifying and dying but our agricultural land is acidifying, greatly reducing its productivity as we leap further into population overshoot. In addition, there could be additional environmental costs associated with salt-affected degraded lands as these lands emit more greenhouse gases, thus contributing to global warming. It would appear to me that this represents an additional positive feed back loop on top of the 42 listed here in Guy McPhersons essay Climate change summary and update. guymcpherson/.../climate-change-summary-and.../ Id like to be wrong on this but will wait to hear from those more knowledgeable than myself like Mike Ohlinger Kirk Norringand Robin Westenra to name a few
