Not only did our Chaos 16U/18U teams notch 6 wins yesterday, we raised $120 which I will combine with other pledged donations to send to USSSA as a gift from our program for Toys for Tots. Our program is not only about Softball, it is about raising girls into strong young women who learn that losses and adversity are as much a part of life as blessings and success. It is about taking an opportunity to help others and to give back when we have opportunities. I dont share the private texts and instant messages I get from parents, but let me say that while I deal with my share of complaints and conflicts, I get so many messages that reflect thanks and offer words of praise for our coaches and our program. We are not for everybody. If softball is your main priority, then we may not be the best fit. If winning is your only measure of success, then our philosophies may not co-exist to well and I am ok with that. I love to win, not for my sake but for the satisfaction on the faces of my girls, their parents, and my coaches. And when we do win trophies, there is something special about handing it over to one of my players or coaches. We have finished the 16/18 season and 12U/14U will finish in the next two weeks. Many of you will return next season and some won`t. That is the nature of travel ball. Once again, I say Thank You to everyone who has participated in our program in 2014. I cannot wait to see what Summer 2015 holds in store for Chaos Softball and my extended softball family.
