Not only do Christians profess the name of Jesus, unbelievers do so as well. Also, unbelievers prophecy in the name of Jesus, perform healings in the name of Jesus, speak in tongues in the name of Jesus, pray in the name of Jesus, cast out demons in the name of Jesus and do many other marvelous works in the name of Jesus. You may wonder how is it possible for an unbeliever to perform miracles in Jesus name, there can be two possible reasons. The first reason could be that unbelievers are performing miracles with the assistance of demonic spirits and dress it up with the name of Jesus. The second reason could be that God can empower an unbeliever to fulfill His will because Hes just that sovereign. If you dont think it is so, Judas Iscariot is a prime example of an unbeliever that was empowered by God to fulfill the will of God by performing miracles and casting out demons. A true believer in Christ not only professes the name of Jesus with their mouth, they also profess Jesus with their heart by faith (Romans 10:9) and its evident by the lifestyle they live. There are many who profess Jesus but its a false profession because its all about performance and appearance rather than relationship.
