Not only do Officers risk their lives and save the lives of others daily, they also do many great acts of kindness that others never see!! Today Muskogee Police Officer Danny Spears got a call for an injured bird. Officer Spears took the Hawk home and called the Game Warden to come and get it to take care of the injured Hawk. This is what officer Spears said So I get a call this morning about an injured owl that ends up actually being a hawk. Animal Control isnt available and me not being equipped for this sort of thing, I ask the home owner if he has a pair of gloves and a box I can borrow. And of course because its me, he brings out a pair of pink dish washing gloves. I have no idea why I always get into the situations that I get into, but Im on my way home with a hawk. I need someone willing and capable of hopefully nursing this little fella back to good health. — with Jody Standridge.
