Not only does it break my heart seeing how many innocent children are diagnosed and lost to DIPG, but it ANGERS me that doctors say this is a RARE cancer. The ultimate kick in the gut is finding out that there has been ZERO progress or funds allotted in 35 YEARS, when my own angel was going through a grueling battle with it. At the time, they called it a pontine glioma, which is most likely what is now called DIPG, the most VILE childhood bully around. On a more encouraging note, not only is there strength in numbers now, but POWER of the immense LOVE we feel for all these courageous little heroes.
