Not only is this a violation of the Constitution (there are built-in ways to change/amend the constitution....not arbitrarily ignore the law and regulations) This would also be a gigantic disaster for the American voter.......... It would give the historic Big Government Liberal elements in the cities an over-riding power over the Rural voter (who is historically conservative and independent constitutionalists). Wanna gear our voting system to where the majority LIBERAL of Urban cities control who becomes President...then get rid of the Electoral College. Wanna remove the protection of the majority being duped by a Presidential candidate being a fantastic orator or personality; but, totally unqualified otherwise? Then get rid of the Electoral Collage. We are NOT a Democracy where the majority rules..... there are BIG reasons our founders established the Constitutional Electoral College to protect the US voter from him/her self!!!!!
