Not only is today American Diabetes Association Alert Day, it’s also Capitol Hill Advocacy Day! Diabetes Advocates from across the country are on Capitol Hill right now telling Congress what’s at risk if they don’t support funding for diabetes research and prevention programs. As a late onset type 1 diabetic, I know that if research had not discovered that type 1 isnt just for kids anymore, I might not have been put on the insulin that sustains me. And I want a CURE for my GRANDSON and so many others now living with it! Today is all about raising awareness for diabetes, and we hope you will join us in telling Congress to make diabetes a national priority:
