Not quite sure how to update this page. Paul underwent a lung biopsy to determine if he could endure transplant. What we thought was a simple procedure turned out to be horrible news. Paul has renal cell carcinoma that has spread to lungs and lymph nodes. How this happened when one is so thoroughly screened for transplant is the question of the day. We will meet with the oncologist this week. Hes a scrappy one so hes going to give it the best fight he can. We have refrained from informing our little guy til we know more. To say we are devastated doesnt even touch it! Please send Paul strength during this extremely difficult time. As a result of this development, transplant is off the table. ~ Susan
