Not quite sure where to start but a HUGE THANK YOU is probably the best place! Its been an amazing day and the efforts of everyone involved helped make it a huge success. Thanks to everyone who baked cakes and donated prizes - truly overwhelmed with the response. Thanks to Lorna Lobar & Dave Girdwood for managing the tombola stand and to Lynne Girdwood for handling the raffle (I hope the writers cramp eases up!) To the ladies that manned the kitchen and tea area: My wee mum - Mary McGilvary, Irene Crawford, Lorna Borthwick, Dawn Boyle, Michelle McManus, Anthea Barrett & Evonne Jenkins; you all did a sterling job and the system seemed to work a charm and everything ran smoothly. Cannot thank you guys enough. And thanks as well to Lindsey Frame, Laura Cocozza & Alison Brown for taking care of the selling tables. Alison Miller of Brave Faces Face Painting was busy from the minute the doors opened and could barely catch a breath - thanks for all your hard work! And lastly thanks to my husband, David Rogers, for being the man on the door. All the stall holders were fantastic and I hope you all had an enjoyable and successful day - the items on sale were of superb quality albeit I never had a minute to browse properly. I really hope I havent forgotten anyone. We have just totalled up and the amount raised today was £2,028.12!! This is amazing in just four hours. If we add this to our offline and online totals, we have now raised a staggering £17,678.12. We cant believe we have managed to raise this much money in just 6 months. Its so heartening to know that Nells story has touched so many people. Her lifetime was for a moment but people will now remember her for a lifetime. Our angel, our darling, our star. Vx
