Not really a poem just a random rant. How can we live in a world with so much to give, and give nothing to the people in need. To be honest its disgusting, Ive seen people with nothing give what they dont have. Ive seen the hardest workers getting paid change, while the man cracking the whip is being over paid. A world were selfish egotistical celebrities make more money than the people saving lives, sacrificing their own life, and its baffling. Soldiers battling, bleeding, and pleading for their life go unrecognized. In a world where people can recite sports team players, records, averages, music artists, and every lyrical word; but they cant name 10 soldiers who died for our country. Where 100 people with expensive clothes, cars, and jewelry can walk past a homeless man and not even glance in his direction. Where a homeless man will share the only food he has, with other people and expect nothing in return. This world has collapsed, where is the hope for this hopeless nation. Children starve and walk barefoot in other countries while we have people walking in shoes that cost enough to feed and shelter hundreds of children. It isnt like these thoughts will ever make a difference, this world has lost all its hope. This world is engulfed in selfishness as black and empty as the Great Void. This world is the Great Void, we are the black hole swallowing everything around us.
