Not really asoiaf related, but: We started doing Romeo and Juliet in English recently and I do not get the hype about it. Romeo is a seriously mopey depressed because this lady he admired from afar (supposedly he was in love with her) and then the lady tells him she doesnt plan on marrying anyone. And hes all sad until he meets Juliet and then about a minute later he kisses her. WTF is this shit? Why does everyone like Shakespeare? It is like those annoying teenage novels- and I hate all the similes and metaphors. Juliet is as beautiful as the sun my ass. Though at least she isnt as annoying as Romeo. So far I am not liking this story- yes, yes I know they die at the end and its supposed to be sad but they seem to be very weak characters. I dont know- maybe it will get better, were currently at act 2 scene 2 and to me it is not looking promising at all. Maybe it seems better when you see it as a play or as a movie. ~Queen of the North
