Not sure if there are any politicians anywhere elected to Senator/ Governor or higher positions on an outright liberty platform (Gary Johnson and Ron Paul won high office as Republicans), but here in Australia, David Leyonjhelm was elected to the Senate as a libertarian, and Bob Day got the nod via Family First, a conservative political party. The Australian Financial Review, the Australian equivalent of the Wall Street Journal, interviewed the 5 new Senators, who answered questions like who is your favourite politician, last book read, favourite TV show/ movie, favourite dish, and so on.
