Not sure we saw this coming, the Walk for the Animals was ultimately called at 9:30 a.m. following a driving rain, sleet, snow, a blizzard and finally a microburst that left many vendor tents in a shambles. Notwithstanding the inclement weather resolute YHS supporters still exceeded this year’s goal by raising over $50,000. This is a 19 percent increase compared to 2013 ($42,000) and 85 percent compared to our first Walk in 2012 ($27,000). All funds raised help support the many lifesaving programs of the Yavapai Humane Society (YHS). It’s not too late to help the cause.
