Not sure what makes this one of the Best Funny Videos... Sometimes no choice but to evaded and disarm: the parry, throat grab; hand twist, etc. is what you may have to use to keep the gun from being pointed at yourself or someone else... I have practice and used (one or twice) this kind of tactic myself. I do not condone squaring off with a gun wielding assailant, but sometimes S... happens! (For me it was trying to get to work early at dusk for overtime (in San Jose, Cali) - merely heading to the bus stop, but then some young thugs stepped up and asked Hey you, MF, what the F___ are you looking at to which I was compelled to focus in more on the targets at hand... I tried to talk my way out of it by saying I was just trying to get to work early; and the more I reiterated that point, the more I became enraged - I suddenly could not accept those punks blocking me from my efforts to survive and find/pay for a new life, and/or a new apartment and such, to help resettle with my family in a new environment after I had just came out of the Marine Corps,...And at that time, my legs were still good too! When they became cognizant of my scoping the area, they pondered whether I was looking for help, yet I told them no, I was just checking to make sure there were no witnesses to what I was about to do - Needless to say they were a little rattled... I feinted as if I was about to walk away first, until I realized they were not about to just let me walk away, so I took initiative action and adjusted my distance to angle off to each one (of the three) of them...zip, bang, bam! I whisked away to get to work, and told my colleagues how I was accosted by those thugs! There was another time (again in Silicon Valley) when another punk approached me and accused me of being someone who had attacked his in some perverted way - I had to persuade him that he was mistaken, and if he dared attempted some form of physical danger to me, I will indeed take the necessary action to defend myself. Basically, I had to disarm him and tell him he was in error - and let him know I was doing him a favor to let him go! In other situations, I was involved in some knife attacks although I didnt realize there actually were actually any knives about. I heard and saw the knives plunge down to the deck (floor) after taking some needing action, but I didnt think about it at that moment. My colleagues reminded that in fact I had disarmed the knives from a couple of disgruntled bar hoppers (during my military days), but my goal was just to defend and knock them down - which happened quite effectively. As a result, when the MPs showed up, most witnesses could not discern what actually took place. They contended that some big guy stepped up and kicked the crapped out of them, and I then learned the art of becoming incognito - I faded out of the scene, since no one could phantom the little guy (literally) kicking the crap out of a few big ass military thugs who were trying to assault anyone in their path. I was defending myself and associates when they assumed I could be an easy target!
