Not sure what possessed me to go into Cuban bakery in Cuban corner in my neck of the woods today... New Years Eve..but as I stood in the long as heck line I had time to reflect on how happy go lucky Hispanics are, their love for all things sweet, their cafesito and swapping stories. I stood there marveling at the personalities....young and old. All ready to celebrate New Years with family and friends in the most colorful way possible. It made me thankful for being in this country that allows me to be American without letting go of my culture. So instead of being distressed at the long line I was happy to be among this crazy group. Whether they were Cuban, Ricans, Dominicans,..whatever... It was a a celebration of good cheer lots of well wishes being shared with complete strangers. And although I sometimes complain...I really love this little corner of my world! Happy New Years! Feliz Ano Nuevo! To all my fb friends...far and near...May 2015 bring you peace and lots new & wonderful discoveries!
