Not that I was ever uncertain to begin with that Eric Holder is - TopicsExpress

Not that I was ever uncertain to begin with that Eric Holder is racist, which he is, but his insertion of the qualifier but ends any hope that he is, or can be, an Attorney General to whom justice is blind. As Ive often said, both he and his boss, Barack Obama, see the entire world through race-colored glasses. With regard to recent events in Ferguson, MO, that Holder feels the need to place emphasis on the fact that he is also a black man, serves only to feed into the stereotype that all black Americans must think, feel, react and respond alike, regardless of the situation or circumstance, as if ones skin color warrants the abnegation of his or her God-given capacity to think - and act - independently of any racio-ethnic identity we might otherwise have in common. Which leaves me dumbfounded on two fronts: 1) that many black Americans continue to propagate the notion of race, in and of itself, as the proverbial tie that binds us, and 2) that black Americans are the only racial group of whom such monolithic and predictable behavior is expected. SMH!
