Not to be a pessimist, but I cant be the only one that hates the holidays, right? So much commercialism, work becomes extra stressful, anxiety of buying the right gifts, meeting everyones expectations, all the while youre trying to find the holiday spirit which never seems to exist... I just want to enjoy the cool weather, drink some wine, and catch up on some good books. Instead, I have signed myself to work both jobs for the next four days in a row, drive to and from Miami on Christmas Day, and then work both jobs on Friday... The holidays are stressful and by the time Christmas comes, it doesnt even feel like anything I was expecting.
