Note - If I get 7 people who comment here and tell me that they find this status offensive - I will put it down. Because I believe in Freedom of Speech, but I also believe in the freedom of criticism and freedom of choice - and I choose not to be insensitive to peoples emotions... so here it is - My opnions on the whole Charlie Hebdo incident: Theres nothing else I can do about it and i dont condone shooting people for any give reason - Im all for speaking your heart out and hoping people will get it instead. Its a kind of fool im gladly willing to live as and so the least I can do is write a Facebook status about it. Thank you Facebook for the opportunity - You know the hardest and saddest thing about being a MUSLIM - in this world, i.e. a Muslim that just loves his religion, just a normal citizen of a country of the world, not a terrorist, just a regular guy. It is not all the terror attacks that take place in the name of our religion, no! No matter how many people attack somebody in the name of Islam, Islam remains guiltless of their crimes, just as fire remains guiltless of the people you burn with it, while praised for the light it sheds and heat it provides. The saddest thing is every-time some act of Islamic terror occurs, the world gives us the eye and say all kinds of things to us... then we go do our research, study into the matter - and find out that the truth is something else altogether, but we have to swallow it and watch quietly as the lie is being lauded - because the world is rather enjoying pointing the finger at us for now.... Like for example - Charlie Hebdo the world tells us that Charlie Hebdo is all about satire and freedom of speech, then I go and look at the kind of horrendous images theyve been drawing of the prophet muhammad peace be upon him, muslim women in hijab and all things that seem far from satire and just pure racist insults. I mean why dont people get it, we really love our prophet very much, isnt there anybody that you love and admire with all your heart? WONT IT BURN YOU FROM INSIDE? When people draw and publish cartoon pictures that humiliate and tarnish their image, that in the name of satire they keep doing it - not just once, but again and again? I mean is this really what freedom of speech means? Ive never understood these satire comics anyway. If somebody sees you doing something wrong and tries explaining to you why he thinks your wrong and what he thinks you could be doing instead - I call that constructive criticism, but if all the person does is call you jackass and laugh about it and then goes around poking fun about the issue - I find that person to be a bigger jackass who doesnt care about the problem theyre criticizing but rather relishes it and feeds off it... I mean if youre a cartoonist and you really want to make people laugh and teach them something, wont a little more brainstorming find a nicer way to do it? Why should you? How bout trying not to hurt somebodys feelings just so you could make a drawing the way you want to - is that really such a bad thing? Do you really have to make it that offensive to some, in order to get your message out - JUST BECAUSE YOU CAN???... Did also know that terrorists go around shooting people they dont like - BECAUSE THEY CAN? I find anybody who does something just because can - sick... should I illustrate a picture of your mother being raped? So that I could illustrate and clearly give you a picture of maybe what it feels like when somebody takes up a pencil and thinks they have a right to draw all sorts of pictures of your loved one, just so they could explain a thought they had. Should I illustrate another picture of your mother - just in order to drive home the sentiment? And then a third - just so that I can make sure you get it? No I refuse to... just because I can type out stuff on a public platform, ill avoid throwing insults and so Ive just asked rhetorical questions... To all those who read this and dont agree with the things that Im saying, constructive criticism is more than welcome.... Im not hating on anybody, Im just asking questions that have troubled me about this whole incident... And stated in this beginning - this is me just me using my Freedom of Speech - if it is offensive to more than 10 people and if you can
