Instead, the Cheney administration, informed by the arguments you so fondly recall, squandered not just the element of time and the advantage of economy, but created a vacuum which ISIS created when it punctured the mirage of national self-sufficiency which the incompetency of the Cheney administration promoted as a substitute for responsible leadership.
