Notes From A Motel Room: Although they’re easy to make here in my room at the ol’ Fleabagger, I decided to break away from having morning Eggos (they cook fairly well if I rest the steam iron on top of them while I’m pressing my pants). Instead, I found a little diner down the road called “Humpty’s Dump.” Not the cleanest place to have breakfast, but they did have a unique menu that was family-oriented. They even served Purina Baby Chow for really ugly kids. I stopped by the front desk on the way back to the room to find Dumb “Otto”, the manager’s son, on duty. He’s actually not a bad kid, but I just think his Energizers are in upside down. He’s works here to help his Dad, but actually he really wanted to be a school crossing guard…until he found out they don’t carry live ammo. Anyway, he said if I’m still here when winter rolls in, I’ll be in for a high-tech treat. He said his Dad is putting Microwave Fireplaces in all of the rooms, so I can spend a whole evening in front of it in just 8 minutes. Anyway, I’m back in my nest as it’s time to get busy on that “healthy living” plan I promised myself I’d start. It took a while, but I finally found a great lead-off activity. Who knew there was such a thing as an “Aerobic Nap?”
