Notes for your library calendar, Dec. 12th: We have an extremely busy month going on here at ECCPL. Last weeks Christmas Parade event was a wonderful experience for our staff, as we were chosen to be this years Grand Marshal. All of us appreciate the support of our community, and all of the time and materials contributed in assembling our Dr. Seuss, Welcome to Whoville float. Thank you Elizabethton and Carter County! The childrens programs for this week were really fun, and Ashlee says next weeks schedule includes a very important visit from a very important person. My guess is, SANTAS THE VISITOR!! Both morning sessions, on Tuesday and Wednesday, at 10:30 a.m., and the Tuesday afternoon session, at 4:00 p.m., are going to be very special for all of us. Bring your little ones to a session that fits your schedule. These three Storytime and Story Club meetings will also be the last sessions for the year, as our Childrens Dept. Staff takes a break to prepare for new programs in January 2015. Dont forget the DECEMBER LEGO CLUB meeting is tomorrow! The Lego builders will gather in the meeting room, 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. The library is very pleased, and fortunate, to welcome a new staff member! ECCPL has Mr. Gary Sparks on board as our Interim Library Director. Mr. Sparks is a local resident, former educator and school librarian. We look forward to having Mr. Sparks with us here at ECCPL. Come by, see the wonderful selection of new books and items for circulation, maybe visit with Mr. Sparks. The library has once again been decorated for Christmas too! We so much appreciate our Friends of the Library Group for another beautiful Holiday Season at our library. Have a great weekend!
