Allah is As-Samee’ (The All Hearing) therefore the servant knows that Allah hears everything. He must make the Names have meaning and purpose in his life so he strives to keep away from backbiting, spreading tales, lying etc... Because he knows Allah hears him wherever he may be, in the night or day, he stays away from whatever will anger Allah If someone wants to say something indecent or lie, he remembers that Allah hears him so he refrains from such things We must look at this matter of the effects of the Names of Allah, and the impact it has on our lives If we keep this in mind it will be of great benefit. How many fall into bad language etc &do not keep in mind that Allah hears what they say Allah is Al-Baseer so when a person is going to perform evil it is as if he does not keep in mind that Allah sees him We must keep this in mind, that Allah sees us because it will deter us from doing evil Perhaps a person will say he does believe this (Allah is Al Baseer) but he still falls into acts of indecency... The reason: he does not keep Allah in mind at these times.That Allah is Al-Baseer, As-Samee... There are people who are afraid to do crime for fear of being apprehended by law enforcement... How could it be that they are afraid of them yet they do not have this type of fear for Allah, when Allah sees and knows everything From the greatest matters we must be mindful of is that Allah is Al-Aleem - He knows All of the affairs... He Knows what is in the heart, if it is upon sincerity or shirk. Outwardly one may display what is good but what is in the heart is not so he falls into things that is not befitting due to his heart Likewise, Allah is Al-Qadeer and from that Name is the greatest of characteristics - that Allah has the capability to do all things. When a person wants to disobey Allah he knows Allah can take him to account for this disobedience... We cannot live without air, so he remembers that Allah can cut him off from the oxygen and he will die...Allah has the ability to stop the heart from beating...So how can the person go on behaving as though Allah does not have the ability to do these things All of us must have knowledge and be certain that Allah has Complete Ability Ignorance of this has caused many to fall into disobedience; the greatest of which is kufr We must keep in mind that Allah has the ability to call us to account so we must not do anything except that it will bring us closer to Him (From @mpubs twitter)
