Noteworthy Arrests On 11/04/13 at 7am, plainclothes officers from the SFPD Criminal Investigations Unit were conducting a surveillance along the Fulton St corridor due to several robberies that had occurred in the early morning hours. Prior witnesses had given officers a description of a black Cadillac that was involved. One of the officers turned onto 22nd Ave from Fulton and saw a vehicle that matched the description, double parked. He looked over onto the sidewalk and saw another suspect, with a handgun, in the process of robbing a female victim. The officer alerted other officers in the area and exited his vehicle. He yelled “Police Stop” and ran towards the victim and suspect. The suspect fled on foot south on 22nd Ave to westbound Fulton. The officer, on foot, pursued the suspect down to Cabrillo and when the suspect turned south on 24th Ave, the officer lost sight of him. The officer also saw the suspect’s vehicle driving in the area, apparently looking for the suspect on foot. The vehicle kept driving and eventually was stopped on the 800 block of Page St by Park Station officers. A perimeter was set up for the area of 24th Ave, between Cabrillo and Fulton and the suspect who fled on foot was found hiding under a parked vehicle on the 800 block of 24th Ave. The handgun was also located. The two males, a 19yr old and a 25yr old were charged with robbery, firearm violations and false imprisonment.
