Nothing against other redheads, but I have always despised being a ginger. Didnt even know that term till South Park popularized it. I dyed my hair darker this year but then cut it. I think I am going to ask Fiona to dye it again. I liked it darker but not too dark. My grandson is so handsome and fortunate to be a mix of Puerto Rican/Italian on his Dads side and Filipino/Irish on his moms - my daughters side. My family actually has a little Cherokee thrown in the mix. Ciaran is the perfect mix of all those and has benefited from the best part of those genetics. I, on the otherhand, got the crap dump of the the genetics from all that was left over I suppose. I have mostly Irish/Cherokee genetics from my maternal side. My paternal ancestors were English. My older brothers got all he good-looking genetics. I was left with the left-overs. I suppose my consolation is that someone did eventually care about me enough to have a child with me and now I have a wonderful, handsome grandson who is so good-looking, he will never have any trouble with girls or closed doors. He is active, fit, and healthy. Since I have quit smoking 2 years ago, I continue to struggle with my weight, as I have all of my life. My goal is to get healthy enough to keep up with him as he grows up. We start Cub Scouts together very soon. He pushes me to my limit and beyond and for all my faults and shortcomings, he accepts me as I am and sees only the good in me. He inspires me every day to push forward and continually improve my life. Thank goodness he doesnt have the ginger curse. ;) He will never have to deal with that.
