Nothing can describe the profound sadness I am feeling at this moment. Today, like last year at this time is a time for me to say goodbye to my friends. My friends that are graduating and will be leaving MCC. I will not list the, all because I am bound to leave somebody out so I will just say that it was a privilege getting to know all of you. Each and every one of you has touched my life in some way and I will always remember you. You are bound to do great thing and I know from being your friends that you will. You are the future scientists, and engineers and doctors and nurses and lawyers. You come from all walks of life but believe that this is a country that gives back to you and that this college, Manchester Community College is the place to live your dreams. You can be the makers of your own destiny and Class of 2014 and all of you that are leaving MCC you can challenge the universe and make the worlds better place for you having lived in it, as our ancestors and past students have done before us. I will join you next year! This is your day class of 2014! Let us all celebrate! President Kennedy once said I do not believe that any of us, would exchange places with any other people, or any other generation. This is your generation, this is your time, let us all act. Congratulations class of 2014. Fifty years together, for learning for life, and fifty more years to come.
