Nothing has changed since my last post as it relates to Juliettes - TopicsExpress

Nothing has changed since my last post as it relates to Juliettes physical state. She continues to remain sedated with both arms restrained at her side to the bed. She is officially in Critical Condition. This is because the ventilator is doing her breathing for her and she has a lot of blood in her lungs. Earlier today the hospital had to reach out to the Red Cross to get more platelets flown in. Juliette is receiving platelets around the clock now to try and control/stop the bleeding. There is a specific type of platelet needed for her and they were running low. There was some talk earlier about giving her a paralytic. She was coughing a lot and moving around a lot. Fighting. Juliette keeps fighting. Her sedation meds were increased and she seems to be ok in that regard. So no paralytic for now. She should have the Bronchoscopy in the morning if everything goes well tonight. I have tried to get a timeline from just about every new nurse or doctor I speak with for how long she will be sedated. No one can give me the clear answer I am looking for. It varies with each child. Days / weeks / months. It just varies. I am praying for days or hours. I miss her so much. So very much.
