Nothing new! #Political opportunism at best. The uphill battle is not with another #opposition political party. Dont pit one against another. It wont work. Two opposition parties - the NSP and WP - have made statements on this (hijab) issue...NSP, at least, have stated their stand. WP avoids stating clearly their position on the issue. It sounds sympathetic, but if you read the statement carefully, WP straddles both sides of the fence and merely calls for public dialogue. - Indranee Rajah, 13 Nov 2013 The NSP hasnt even got into Parliament, but as a voter, I appreciated its attempt to engage on serious issues (Bus Contracting Model) of the day...In contrast, the Workers Party has seven elected MPs and two Non-Constituency MPs in Parliament. Its the leading opposition party, since no other has even one elected MP. It has said it cant form the government yet - but can be its co-driver - Chua Mui Hoong, 1 June 2013
