Nothing wrong with helping fight against abuse, slavery etc etc. Totally good. But please don´t forget what is on your own doorstep. Todays cause has not yet happened, and I pray it doesn´t. Tonight 5000 chinese lanterns will be set alight in Manilva - it is Levante, it is July, the ground is parched. The damage these lanterns may cause just doesn´t bare thinking about. Just 10 years ago, nearly to the day, 200 hectares was burnt out here. It took 4 years for the few trees that weren´t destroyed to begin to sprout again. It took 5 years before we began to see all the wildlife that used to populate the area. I personally lost everything except the concrete shell that is my house. Other people were luckier, but still suffered smoke damage, and all exterior property (fencing, gardens etc) destroyed. As we cleaned up our property I will never forget finding the carbonated remains of rabbits, foxes, many birds, pigs, dogs and some goats. How many of you who knew of this eminent idiocy have phoned or written to complain to Manilva?
