Notice kings go out and fight battles. (1 Samuel 8:20) (1 Samuel 8:20) And we must become, we also, like all the nations, and our king must judge us and go out before us and fight our battles.” Notice Michael leads the troops in battle. (Revelation 12:7, 8) (Revelation 12:7, 8) And war broke out in heaven: Mi′cha·el and his angels battled with the dragon, and the dragon and its angels battled 8but it did not prevail, neither was a place found for them any longer in heaven. Michael is the great prince. What is meant by him STANDING UP ? (Daniel 12:1) “And during that time Mi′cha·el will stand up, the great prince who is standing in behalf of the sons of your people. And there will certainly occur a time of distress such as has not been made to occur since there came to be a nation until that time. And during that time your people will escape, every one who is found written down in the book. The reference to his “standing” reminds us of the way that this term is used elsewhere in the book of Daniel. It often refers to the action of a king, such as his taking up royal power.—Daniel 11:2-4, 7, 20, 21. Michael the great prince becomes king then goes to war with Satan and his angels. (Revelation 12:7, 8) What else happen when Michael becomes king and stands up? And during that time your people will escape, every one who is found written down in the book. (Daniel 12:1) His people escape from the grave, everyone found in the book of life. (1 Thessalonians 4:16) because the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a commanding call, with an archangel’s voice and with God’s trumpet, and those who are dead in union with Christ will rise first.
