The Cairo Mississippi River Bridge, a bridge that a lot of truckers use between Kentucky and Illinois, is scheduled to be closed to truck traffic sometime after July 7. The bridge carries U.S. Highways 51, 60 and 62 between Wickliffe, Ky., and Cairo, Ill., and is used by about 2,000 trucks every day. It will remain open to cars while repair work is being done but will have a 7-foot maximum width restriction. he work is expected to take two months. For some truckers, it will mean an 80-mile detour to use the Interstate 24 bridge at Paducah, Ky. From Landlinemag
