Notice to all current friends: If you are going to defriend or block me and never want to hear from me again-- if theres no room for discussion of it, please dont notify me. I really dont need to know. Id rather wonder. I cant even imagine why you think this helps in any way. Would you go over to a friends house, knock on their door, and say, I never want to see you again and close the door and walk away? The other person doesnt know if they are supposed to reopen the door and call out to you, or if you really mean it. They are just staring at the closed door, confused. Are you not able to imagine how this feels? Would you phone someone to say youre never speaking to them again? If so, would you leave a long message on their answering machine detailing all the problems you have? If so, do you really want them to listen and move on, or do you want a call back asking if you actually want to talk about it? Is it a malfunction (lack of awareness), a manipulation (attempt to get them to do what you want), or malice (trying to disturb their peace of mind)? It is a very common behavior, but I am completely baffled at the reason for it. Anyhow, if you want to go, you are free. If you want to talk something out, I will. But please dont confuse me.
