Notorious Florida speed trap ended as city closes police department. Another Higher Standard Story. The local prosecutor led the city council to believe a grand jury would be convened to investigate the police department if it continued to operate. The prosecutor should still seat a grand jury if crimes were committed by the local PD. Same old story oh the bad cops are gone to another city so we dont have to investigate their crimes anymore.
