Nov 11 Good Morning Family; Holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else; but you are the one who gets burned Happy Veterans Day to all that served and continue to serve in whatever status. Thank God to the mates of the soldiers and Vets. I think they had worse than the soldier from having to move every two years, and or live alone while soldier is overseas. I thank God for insisting on a strategy plan for Mama and I. I thank God that even though I was hard-headed, He FORGAVE me and blessed us throughout. I cant share enough with you the fact that if you are holding on to anger- you are just wasting energy, negative energy, that just wastes the most important valuable thing you own. You. So just know that what gives you the most hope every day is Gods grace; knowing that His grace is going to give you the strength for whatever you face, knowing that nothing is a surprise to God. (Rick Warren) Hallelujah! Thank God for His Grace. Note that Circumstances are beyond human control, but our conduct is in our own power. Lord, if I had just implemented this procedure from day one. The good thing is I have asked for forgiveness.(Benjamin Disraeli) Song of the Day Mandisa: Back to You (Click on the link below) https://youtube/watch?v=bRsl2slaDLw Before you send out your next email or have a difficult conversation with an employee, take the time to review this guideline. Youll be glad you did. With each column I write, I carefully consider the point I want to make. I draft the column, reflect on it, tweak it, and review it before I submit it to my editor, who does some of the same. Unfortunately, that type of careful thought and reflection doesnt always happen in the business environment. Todays technology and social-media platforms enable us to express top-of-mind, unfiltered thoughts to the world -- often to disastrous results. Remember, just because we can say something doesnt mean we should. My sister shared a poster with me that appears throughout the high school where she teaches. While it is good advice for students, I think it is equally good advice for leaders. It reads: Before you speak, THINK... T - is it True? H - is it Helpful? I - is it Inspiring? N - is it Necessary? K - is it Kind? Using this guideline does not preclude you from having tough conversations with your team. Even constructive feedback, if delivered correctly, meets these criteria. (From the L Group)
