Nov 15, 2014 I am thankful for water. Water is mentioned in the Bible...Gods Holy Word...according to the internet, 722 times. Thats a lot huh. That is not as much as Jesus, God or love but more than Faith, hope, prayer or even worship. Of course, if you know me...this sparks an interest for me. The first time in the King James Version that water is mentioned is Genesis 1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. Earth was created OUT of water....Sky in the MIDST of water....Living creatures OUT OF the water....and He bathes us with Life giving water from the sky to take care of us. The last time water is mentioned in His Word is in Rev 22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely. From the beginning to the end the Bible speaks of water and the importance of its creating, blessing and saving work. Our bodies consist of approximately 65% water. We have always been told 8 cups of water a day to drink. It Is better being over-hydrated than dehydrated, which can cause headaches, light-headedness, fatigue and other, more serious complaints. Water is essential for proper digestion, kidney function and brain function and is required by every cell of the body. How much water do we need? Enough to not be thirsty. Our bodies know what to do it the extra. Believe me I know about dehydration. We need the Bible and we need water to survive in this world. In order for our physical and our spiritual lives to remain intact we need both. Both remind us of creation and Jesus. Both changes our lives and cleans us up. Both are essential to life! Christians, we can not....must not....continue to take Gods Word for granted. We can not...must not...continue to contaminate it and waste it! We must honor and respect and appreciate Gods Word. When we accept Jesus as our Savior, we have accepted His Word. We must honor it as the gift that God gave unto us. When we do that....we will find our cups running over with blessings...and our fountains of salvation flowing freely. Isaiah 12: 2 Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation. 3 Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation. Then we shall be able to draw on the Lord and all that He has prepared for His children. With Joy!!! from the wells of salvation!! Thank You Jesus for the blessings of Water!
