Nov 25 Good Morning Family; Today we lift up Ferguson and the parents of Mike Brown. The hurt of reoccurring hate crimes against our youth, the disappointment of the same old verdict, and the loss of another black son. We pray for change, change enlightened by You Lord. We have been marching and crying for so long Father. Now Father we have to turn the matter over to You 100%. We need to step back and take a breath and revive our spirit again. Father we can no longer exist and wallow in ignorance and loud outburst with no account to harming and stereotyping our own self. The Governor ensured that the National Guard protected the wealthy areas and left the low income areas to fend for their property and businesses - which a few were burned and looted. As Bernard Shaw states, Progress is impossible without change, and those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything. This sentiment goes for both races. Murdering our youth will never change as the murderers continue to see our black boys as a threat and nothing more. And if our black boys continue to go down the path that the system pushes them into, then nothing will change. From the beginning of time our youth have been channelled from elementary school straight to for profit prisons. We ask You Lord to please break the generational curses of negativity and the belief that justice is not ours. Melt Your Word in us. Give us dignity and teach us how to respect our own self. Give us a sense of purpose Lord. Allow this incident to shape into a beautiful historical teaching moment on how we can move forward. Father, help us to learn Your Names and put them to use: Jehovah-shammah [H] Jehovah is there, the symbolical title given by Ezekiel to Jerusalem, which was seen by him in vision ( Ezekiel 48:35 ). It was a type of the gospel Church. Jehovah-nissi [N] [H] Jehovah my banner, the title given by Moses to the altar which he erected on the hill on the top of which he stood with uplifted hands while Israel prevailed over their enemies the Amalekites (Exodus 17:15 ). Jehovah-jireh [N] [H] Jehovah will see; i.e., will provide, the name given by Abraham to the scene of his offering up the ram which was caught in the thicket on Mount Moriah. The expression used in Genesis 22:14 , in the mount of the Lord it shall be seen, has been regarded as equivalent to the saying, Mans extremity is Gods opportunity. Jehovah-tsidkenu [H] Jehovah our rightousness, rendered in the Authorized Version, The LORD our righteousness, a title given to the Messiah ( Jeremiah 23:6 , marg.), and also to Jerusalem ( 33:16 , marg.). Song of the Day Big Daddy Weave: Redeemed (Click on the link below) https://youtube/watch?v=VzGAYNKDyIU Love everybody MAW Weve just learned the grand jury convened to investigate the shooting death of Michael Brown has chosen not to indict Officer Darren Wilson. Theresa, this is a devastating setback in our fight for justice. But the grand jurys decision does not mean a crime was not committed in Ferguson, Missouri, on August 9. It does not mean we are done fighting for Michael Brown. Sign our petition to the Department of Justice. Demand resolution to the federal, criminal civil rights investigation into Michael Browns death. We are all filled with frustration, disbelief, and anger over this decision. That the officer who shot and killed an unarmed black man with his hands in the air remains free is appalling. Local officials in Ferguson utterly failed in their duties to conduct an open and transparent investigation. The local prosecutor who oversaw the grand jury process has significant personal, family, and professional ties to the local police department—the same local police who were slow to talk to witnesses and eager to attack protesters and journalists. We will not allow this to be another Sanford, Florida. We will not allow the justice system to let us down once more. Take action today, for Michael, and for all of our sons. While the NAACP joins the community in standing for peaceful protest, we will hold law enforcement officials accountable and ask that they adhere to the rules of engagement agreed upon. We stand united with the community and other activists groups, demanding that all police officers wear operable body cameras; police departments reflect the diversity of the community that they are serving; and that Congress passes the End Racial Profiling Act. Sign our petition to the Department of Justice right now: action.naacp.org/write-the-DOJ-now Thank you, Cornell William Brooks President and CEO NAACP The first thing is to be honest with yourself. You can never have an impact on society if you have not changed yourself…Great peacemakers are all people of integrity, of honesty, and humility. ~Nelson Mandela True Light Gentle Whisper
