Nov 3. The ship docked today in Naples, Italy. We went with three other couples on a tour of Sorrento, Positano and the Amalfi Coast.This region is south of Naples and the scenery is spectacular. Beautiful mountains rise sharply from the clear blue sea and the narrow road twists and turns its way from small town to small town, each more charming than the next. We stopped for a lunch at a unique restaurant high on a mountain overlooking the sea in the town of Positano. Everything there, including the wine, is produced on the restaurant grounds, which are terraced on the steep mountain side. At one point the chef came out and we had our picture taken together. We had several opportunities for shopping and we have added a few items to our souvenir collection. Ended the day with a drive by Mt. Vesuvius before returning to the ship. We are now on our way to Rome.
