Nov. 4, 2014 was a teachable moment for Democrats, if were willing to learn and to make some major changes. A major first step is to separate ourselves from the corporatist wing and return to our populist foundations. A second step is for our various interest groups, reproductive rights groups, environmentalists, immigrant advocates, gun safety advocates, those fighting for economic and social justice, and all of the other populist groups must come together and present a unified front. Democrats have ceded the time between elections to Republicans, allowing to spread hate, misinformation, and outright lies, with little or no rebuttal . Now that Republicans control both houses of Congress, they are vulnerable to criticism for their failure to govern in the interest of the people. They cant hide behind attacks on Harry Reid anymore. Democrats must go on the offensive now and not stop until sanity is restored.
