November 1,2014 Solemnity of All Saints Saturday, 30th Week in Ordinary Time Lord, as we celebrate All Saints Day, help us to contemplate on Your call to holiness and sainthood as we strive to joyfully pursue Your will and be formed in the way of the Beatitudes. As we reflect on the lives of these holy men and women, grant that we may strive to imitate their perseverance in following You into eternal glory. May they remind us of the purpose of our own lives and show us the possibilities of going beyond ourselves and our limitations in order to become true witnesses to Your saving grace. Increase our desire for abundant life in heaven and help us to make the necessary sacrifices to get there because the joys of heaven will more than compensate for all the troubles, trials and hardships that we have to face in this world. Grant that Your saints may intercede for us on our journey towards eternal union with You. Increase my hunger for You and show me the way that leads to everlasting peace and happiness. May I desire You above all else and find perfect joy in doing Your will. Amen Based on today’s Gospel: Matthew 5:1-12
