November 10th 2014 There’s More To Life Entry #1 It smells like Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas all at the same time. Our hollow days. My days run together — I sleep for as long as I can, always too long, and wake up looking forward to putting too much coffee in my bloodstream. I’m a guy of routines. Whatever keeps you sane, that’s what I’ve been thinking lately. Over the next few weeks, I’m recording the final version of There’s More To Life. It’s weird and hard to commit. I always have issues with that, but regardless it will be all locked in soon enough. December will be mixing & mastering. I have more to share now than ever before. So even though the project will be fully ready this winter, there’s a lot that’s going to happen in the meantime. Let’s start with something later this week. (something i’m stoked on.) My team’s hardly a team, just a great group of friends really. I’m grateful for every one of them, helping me to produce, record, sing, mix, master, perform, paint, etc. the music that I imagine in my head when lyrics come to me. That’s why There’s More To Life is special and that’s how it’s going to be different — it’s the music I write when no one is listening and it’s just me and Molly’s old keyboard. It’s the songs in my head coming into a form that you can bump in your older brother’s busted car speakers. Max volume at a five point intersection. Right now, there is nothing more to my life than finishing these recordings and making sure all of my ideas are here. Just wanted to share the process with you. I really really hope you like them.
